Hi,

i'm currently trying to migrate a very old application to a new system, but now i get a crash of one of the executables.
I'm not very familiar with Mac crash logs and wasn't able to find any useful information in the internet.
It is working fine on the normal mac with the same kernel version, please find attached the crash log.
I already tried the executable on another Mac server with the same setup and i get the same error there as well.

Best regards,
Drangur

Hiya

need to know a couple of things

What Mac did you copy this from? G4 G3?

I ask because the error log points to the old PowerPC processor.

What version of OSX are you trying to run this on? I asume Intel based?

yes, you are right, it is a new Intel based Mac Mini Server.
But on my normal Intel Mac Mini it is working fine.

Hey

Have you installed Rosetta on your server? If not, try that.

But know if you have 10.7 there is no rosetta. So you can't run PPC apps. Alternatively. You could VM a 10.6 install with Rosetta installed and ran the app that way on your server...

it is 10.6 and Rosetta is installed

i assume that some library is missing, the scanCFRG application uses "CoreServices.h" maybe this is the cause of the crash.
What i thought is that i could check which libraries are loaded on the working machines (i.e. with a tool like Process Monitor on Windows) and then check which are missing on the server, but i can't find a tool for it.
