Getting this unusual kernel panic on startup of my Mac, it's very random and doesn't always occur. Yesterday no troubles, multiple restarts and shutdown/startup to try and provoke the error. When starting Windows 11 Pro for Workstations I never see any issues.

See attached txt file. Apart from that, machine runs fine all day with no other errors. It's the machine with 48GB ram. I ran hardware test and got no reported hardware errors.

Any further checks? I'm planning to put the GPU in the other Mac when it arrives to check it on that.

Which model Mac Pro? “On startup” means during the boot sequence or do you mean a panic dialog is displayed on desktop after boot sequence completes?

7,1 2019 MP.

When error happens the MP shuts down on startup. Then on restarting it will show that error log when I get into macOS.

This morning no problem, started without errors.

I would suggest running EtreCheckPro and see what the logs show after the next kernel panic.

I’ll have to buy that since the affected computer has the Sequoia beta. Not a problem, will do so.

I’ve done more testing, swapping my original W6800X 32GB into the problem machine.

Also 96GB ram into that. Result? Seems to run fine.

Swapped the 48GB RAM and 2x Duo MPX modules into the macOS 14.5 machine. 4 startups done and that seems okay so far.

I’ll keep it that way and see how things go over a few days which should be enough to uncover and further problems.

If none I might try doing a clean install of macOS on the problem computer.
