Hello, I'm getting kernel panics whenever I shutdown or restart my Mac. This happens _only_ on shutdown and restart. I recently changed the language on my Mac, and then the problems started happening, but I'm not sure it's from the language change. I'm using a 27-inch iMac from 2017, with Big Sur 11.1.

Kernel panic log:

Nothing definitive in the KP report that I can see. Try starting up your iMac in Safe Mode. If it panics in Safe Mode, then it may be due to hardware but right now it appears software related.

BTW, I have that same machine and changing languages does not have any effect.

I've been doing a few tests. No panic in safe mode, no panic when shutting down from the login screen without having logged in, no panic with a new user account.

That tells us that there is something running on startup that the system doesn't like or agree with and is causing the KPs. Start off by eliminating all startup apps and kexts. You can add them back in one by one until the KP occurs again.

The no panic with a new user account likewise points to something thats running and causing the panics in your original account.

I have no startup apps, and all the kexts are loaded in the second user account as well. Maybe a brew service or cron job? What's weird is, logging out works fine, but then shutting down from the login screen causes a panic

I've managed to fix this by disabling the Hack font and some LaunchDaemons. Not sure which one of the two.
