Hi. My Mac Pro has developed a problem....saying the computer needs to restart....when I reboot in safe mode it says it recovered from a serious error...it appears to be a kernel panic.....I've ran Disc Utility, but Repair Disc is greyed out...here is the message have I got - can anyone advise? Does every one of your kernel panic logs have this line:

BSD process name corresponding to current thread: SIMBL Agent

If so, then one of your haxies may be causing problems.

SIMBL Agent is an addon kernel extension for things like AdBlock and other things. I'd get rid of it and see if the problem goes away. Last I recall, it contains powerpc code and has not been updated for Lion.

Wouldn't matter since multi-arch binaries will only execute code for the architecture that the host computer is.

The problem may either be RAM, the CPU or something in between. Given that the executed threads where the kernel panics are occurring are pretty much all over the place, and that null frame pointers are trying to be used, its a really low level issue.

Frame pointers are things in kernel land - you don't specify them from user land applications. So yea... this implies bad hardware.
