Hey guys,
I purchased my first ever iMac 3 weeks ago, and it was delivered just under 2 week ago. I was loving it!
The last two days I have been experiencing a kernel panic when I shut down the imac, the screen will go dark, from top to bottom, and a message in several languages appears telling me to turn off the imac by holding down the power button.
I am a little concerned, the UK applecare line is currently closed, so can't get advice from them. Do they usually repair imacs that are so new, as I don't really want to accept a repair. Do you think they will collect the item and refund it, as I may just go to my local apple store and purchase a high end i5 27'', then if anything goes wrong I can just take it there, and hopefully have a replacement for the same configuration (as its a stocked in item)
Thanks guys
