Kernel Security Check Failure BSOD cMP 2012

I'm wondering if anyone has run into this or has a suggestion.

I had win8.1 bootcamp installed and working for like a year+. One day, I booted up Win.8.1 and was greeted by a looping BSOD "Kernel Security Check" Failure.

I erased my partition and reinstalled windows, booted fine > installed Bootcamp.... bam looping BSOD "Kernel Security Check" Failure. erased and partitioned, installed windows again and it works.

I can't install BootCamp. I've repeated erase and install multiple times, no luck. I've re-downloaded Bootcamp drivers a couple of times , no luck.. I reviewed the crash dumps trying to figure it out, but came up with nothing useful. I suspect a Windows update changed some security criteria, but I also can't find any other reports of similar.

Any thoughts?

This is just a guess, but you could try disabling AppleHFS.sys and AppleMNT.sys. These are the HFS drivers that enable Windows to have read-only access to your HFS-formatted OS X drives. These drivers are problematic and have caused BSODs for many people.

If this does fix your issue, but you need HFS access, then install Paragon.

If this does not fix your issue, then all I can suggest at this point is to install the boot camp drivers one by one instead of as a package, so you can see which exact driver causes the problem.

If you have any software RAID in your cMP, those AppleHFS.sys and AppleMNT.sys cause BSOD.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll kick it around. Actually the only thing I think I really want from the bootcamp drivers is the keyboard/keyboard mapping for the volume special keys and the fn to access the Fkeys. Does anyone know specifically what drivers need to be installed to get that working? I think it'll be easier to install just what I need instead of the reverse.

TBH, my experience told me it's easier to install bootcamp and then remove the 2 system file before restart. However, if you only want to keyboard driver, it's inside bootcamp -> drivers -> apple.

I actually tried that one driver already. The special keys don't work with that alone. I think there's some other trickery involved with implementing the multiple keyboard functions that would required more than one install. I've spent way too much time playing with this..lol. I do have a system restore point that is pre-bootcamp, so that helps. The annoying part is that after the bootcamp install, It won't even go with safeboot, or even with msconfig changes launching from the command line. The roll back to safe restore point is required to avoid erase and install.
