I'm not sure if my issue is related to the Mac Mini or Windows but I have been searching for help and not having much success. I'm with an organization that has recently replaced 4 desktop PCs in a truck with 4 Mac Minis. We are running proprietary software that ONLY works on Windows machines and works great on the new Mac Minis using Bootcamp and WinXP. We have rack mounted them using the RackMac Mini enclosures, two minis per 1U spot. We initially had the keyboard and mouse cables routed through a wall in the truck and up into the cabinet and connected directly with the computer, but this left the cable pretty short on the mouse and made it a pain if we needed to change a keyboard or mouse. I got a D-Link DUB-H4 powered USB hub and routed the cable through the wall and now plug the mouse and keyboard into the powered hub. This has caused an annoying issue that I have yet to resolve; the mouse and keyboard aren't "seen" when a the MacMini is first powered on. If I turn off the MacMini and immediately restart the computer, everything works perfectly, as if there isn't an issue at all, but on a cold start, it doesn't see them. I've searched all over for info on Windows forums and self-help areas but nothing quite like we have. I am wondering if it might be an issue with the MacMini or Bootcamp. Any thoughts or ideas?
