Keyboard and Mouse not working

I was using my laptop last night, and this morning when I opened it, my keyboard and mouse were completely frozen. I wasn't sure what was wrong, so I restarted it and now the computer won't boot up. When I restart it, it goes to these black screens (seen below) and nothing works. It looks like a bluetooth track pad but I don't have one connected and never did . I can see the mouse cursor on the screen, but I'm unable to move it. My computer is a Macbook Pro and I purchased it in 2015. Thanks ahead of time for anyone who can help !

Also, not sure if it makes a difference but the only button that works is the power button.

The left hand image appears to be a warning telling you that the switch on the bottom of your bluetooth mouse is turned off. The one on the right appears to be suggesting you push the power button on your wireless keyboard.

Yeah that's what I was thinking as well, but the thing is I never had a wireless keyboard or mouse connected. They just stopped working and now on reboot, this scrren pops up and theres no way around it.
 
to clarify, you have a laptop but use an external keyboard and mouse? what if you disconnect everything from the computer, does it work using the build in keyboard and trackpad?

or, is it the built in that isn't working? you have no external input devices connected? then the images you posted are because the computer does not see any input devices (including the built in) and is offering to connect over Bluetooth. if that is the case, something went wrong. any recent drops or spills involving the computer?

Correct to the latter, I have no external keyboards or mouse connected, and never have. It's the built-in keyboard and mouse that just stopped working out of no where.

I think you are confusing everyone by calling the built in a "mouse". it's a trackpad. so the likely issue is hardware. that is why I asked about drops or spills. could be that the circuitry for those devices is damaged or that the cable connecting them to the system board is off or loose. consequently, your computer does not see them as being there.

Oh okay sorry about that. But yeah, never dropped it or spilled anything. Especially not overnight, it seemed to be working fine last night. Not sure what did it. It's only about a year old as well. My old macbook pro lasted me 7 years ! no problems at all lol I might just need to take this into the Apple store then.

this is definitely an odd one. the first time I've encountered it. do you have an external keyboard and mouse that you could plug in to this machine? at least then you could try to use it and see if anything else isn't working. and maybe try for some maintenance/diagnostics. but yeah, likely a hardware issue and like you said, time to take it in.

Yeah I actually do have an old mouse to plug in. Not sure about a keyboard, I would have to double check. Hopefully then it'll start and check whats going on with the internal trackpad and keyboard. Not sure how to do that either but I'll figure it out if I get that far lol
 
Try these things first:

1. Reset the SMC: https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT201295
2. If that doesn't solve the problem try resetting the PRAM by rebooting while holding down the command-option-p-r key combination until you hear the startup chime a third time.
3. If that does't work, try a safe boot by cold booting while holding down the command-option-p-r key combination.
4. If that doesn't work try rebooting into recovery mode while holding down command-R.
