Keyboard and trackpad loses stop working randomly

I can't be the only one with this issue but I can't find anyone else talking about it. It's driving me crazy, I've to force restart my Mac every few days.

I'm on the latest 12.1 and every few days my keyboard and trackpad would stop working. I can move the cursor around the screen but all the other functions don't work (clicks, gestures etc). The keyboard only works on the login screen.

Also since updating to 12.1 my pinch to zoom is playing up.

I have an issue on my 14" M1 MBP where only the trackpad gestures stop working multiples times per day, usually after waking from sleep. Never had a keyboard issue though.

Apple Support wasn't very helpful. I found myself the workaround: Terminal command "killall Dock". That gets it working immediately. WAY better than restarting.
