Keyboard Lag on iPhone 8

I’m getting a really bad keyboard lag on my iPhone 8. Has anyone else experienced this? The phone literally freezes and it’s impossible to type.

This is an issue in messages, safari, basically anywhere I type.

There are scattered reports of lagging on iOS 11. There doesn't seem to be a clear trend or reason why but I would surmise that iOS 11 is not up to snuff just yet. I would back up the data and try a hard reset first and maybe even a full DFU restore to see if that helps.

There are widespread reports of Touch issues on the iPhone 6S and to a lesser extent, the iPhone 7 when they have aftermarket screens installed. This wouldn't affect you directly. If I do an iPhone backup in iTunes and then a full restore, do you think that would fix it?

What’s the difference in iTunes between restore from backup and restore?

Yeah, well you never know. You could go to the Apple store to have them look at you phone if it's convenient.

This is an issue in messages, safari, basically anywhere I type.

This has been constantly happening to my iP6S+. 1 to 2 second delay sometimes on every word. I have to swipe all suspended apps to get it to clear up temporarily. I did a reset first, then backed it up to iTunes. I then hit the restore to factory from iTunes Interface. It didn't work the lag comes back again after a few hours of use.
