Lately (a week or two) I have been sporadically been noticing a lag with my MacBook Air keyboard. There is occasionally a noticeable hesitation between when I depress the key until the character appears on the screen. I do type around 50 to 60 wpm. And I have also been having wifi connectivity issues our apartment. Don't know that wifi would be a factor, but I mention it out of thoroughness. I have gone into settings; key repeat is about 2/3 the way to the right and repeat is also about 2/3 to the right. Was wondering if anyone had suggestions as to what is going on and/or how to cure it.

Is it specific apps that suffer? do you only see a keyboard lag or the system in general?

And could you confirm if you use a VPN?

First (easiest), I do not use a VPN. Where do I notice it? When it occurs I notice it in about anything I use to type. Emails, texts, forums like this ... don't think it is in any one app specifically. Don't recall noticing it in any application or use where I would normally type slowly, filling in an order on Amazon, for instance.

Did confirm this morning that the lag in the keyboard has nothing to do with the poor wifi reception that we have here in the building. Keyboard lagging earlier with good wifi. Now, two hours later, keyboard is keeping up just fine. ???
