Hi Folks,

I recently bought a 27" iMac and love the screen, but dislike the magic keyboard for many reasons. I now need to find a third party one, so please help! My requirements are below:
1) Corded (I work with a disabled bluetooth, so being able to disable a bluetooth in the keyboard is a strict requirement).
2) Tactile feeling as close as possible to the Butterfly instead of Scissors design (The latest Magic keyboard would work too).
3) Dark is preferred (I am a bit upset that the smaller magic keyboard does not come in grey).
4) No numeric trackpad (I do not use the numeric trackpad, so would prefer a keyboard without it).
5) These two models look promising. Is either of them a better choice that the Magic Keyboard?

5.2) www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07S92QBCJ/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1

There are so many models on the market and I do not know what to choose.

Please share what mold you think might work for me.

Thank you!

I'm also a Keychron user, but have a K1 (version 4) paired up with my 2020 iMac: https://www.keychron.com/products/keychron-k1-wireless-mechanical-keyboard.

Note that this is a mechanical keyboard just like the K2 mentioned above, however, it's a low-profile version and therefore has less finger travel compared to classical mechanical boards. I have the brown switches which provide a nice tactile feeling.

That being said, you won't get the same feeling as the Magic keyboard with any mechanical keyboard (even with those that are low-profile). I would suggest looking for some membrane keyboards instead, but I'm not sure if you can find many without numpad (also known as TKL). Good luck!

My vote goes for the Logitech MX. Like you I did not need a numeric keypad but now use it more than I thought I would. I also would of bought a Mac keyboard in space gray w/o numeric keypad if Apple offered it but after spending too much time looking at my options, (Satechi etc.) I went with Logitech and I am very satisfied with that decision.
