Keyboard not recognized

I have a spare older Microsoft USB keyboard that I'm going to use to intall bootcamp on my Mini (my main keyboard is the Mac wireless bluetooth).

When I plug in this older usb keyboard into my Mac Mini, it's not recognized and OS X prompts me to press the buttons to the left and right of the shift keys. Then it works fine.

Will this keyboard work ok for the bootcamp installation?

I suspect it will. To my knowledge, Windows XP supports all Microsoft USB keyboards.
