i have a black macbook, and i'd really like the keyboard to be backlit....is there a way to do this? i can't figure out the best way to go about it. thanks. :)

I don't think so.

Best bet; go to the Genius bar at your local Apple store
 
The new MacBook Air has a backlit keyboard that uses the same style keys as the MacBook, but the whole keyboard is set up differently than the MacBook.

I suppose conceivably you could get the keys from the MacBook Air once they become available, then, since the keyboard/topcase in the MacBook isn't really made for it, you would have to find some way to get lights behind all the keys.
