Hi. According to Apple, "The sidebar puts commonly used Mac controls on the side of your iPad screen. It includes Command, Shift, and other modifier keys, so you can choose essential commands with your finger or Apple Pencil instead of a keyboard."

The phrase "instead of a keyboard" makes me think keyboard shortcuts can be entered using Sidecar's modifier keys and its floating keyboard. Also, another website says, "You can tap modifier keys like Command, Option, etc. in the sidebar to use keyboard shortcuts." But that doesn't work for me in either Apple or third-party apps. I have a 2020 iMac and 2022 iPad Pro.

I did research but couldn't find anyone with the same issue. Except one reviewer said, "Another oddity is that Command+Q doesn’t work from an external iPad keyboard. I suspect this is a bug, because other Mac-specific keyboard shortcuts work in Mac apps running in Sidecar. Quitting an app can still be accomplished, but you need to use the sidebar Command key in combination with the ‘Q’ key on your external keyboard."

His issue isn't exactly mine, but maybe it's a related bug. I'm not trying to input shortcuts with an external keyboard, nor with a combination of Sidecar with external keyboard. And it's not just Cmd+Q that doesn't work for me, it's all keyboard shortcuts using Sidecar's modifier keys with Sidecar's pop-up keyboard.

I've tried switching my iPP between Main display, Extended display, and Mirrored display, but the issue persists. I also tried turning on/off the 3 settings under Mac System Settings > Displays > Advanced > Link to Mac or iPad.

I would appreciate anyone's help. Is there anything else I can try? Thank you!
