Keyboard shut off on finder?

Doh

Somehow or another my keyboard does not work when i open up the finder.

Obviously it works on other applications, so i'm assuming that i turned off a "keyboard function" accidentally. Is this true?

is it a wireless or wired keyboard? apple branded or other?

If it's wired, try unplugging it, then plugging it back in.

no, this is for my MBP

everything else uses the keyboard fine, like safari for example

anyone other ideas

I had this happen to me yesterday (also on a MBP). Use Force Quit (in the Apple Menu) to restart the Finder. When I did this the keyboard started working in the Finder.
