I was watching a YouTuber that I like and he started typing and I heard the click and at first I was like that sounds sorta satisfying. Then I was like...nah

I ditched the clicks when I figured out how in iOS 3 or 4. Lol @ the magnification.. My wife has it on her SE 2020. Drives me crazy. I could see if you were older or had bad eyes. I tried on my XS Max and even on there it was not for me. And my eyes aren't the greatest..

Yeah my step mother just upgraded to an 8 (which she’s had in the box for like a year). Hates big phones because they’re too hard to carry/pocket but insists on emailing full conversations. Like literally back and forth 2 word responses. Al because she can’t see on her “tiny screen”. Tried to tell her about the magnification but she wouldn’t have it.

On for me. Yes, I know I can turn it off, but I actually like the sound.

Nope. Most sounds, any type of clicking or clacking, is turned off across the board. The noise drives me absolutely batty.

I can't stand it being off. I make more errors when it's off for some reason.

(I have it on silent in public, though.)

No. 100% sound off for me. My phone lives in silent mode, with the only exception being if I’m actively playing media on it.

Nay.

And if you’re a Yay, at put it on mute in public. I hate it when I’m in a waiting room or standing in line and all I hear is: *click* *click* *click* *click* *muffled backspace sounds* *click* *click* *click*

Do the folks that have the clicks turned on also have the lock sound enabled?

Drives me insane, and I cannot stand hearing key clicks of people around me. Silence your phones in public, people, nobody needs to hear all your sound effects.

Off. I’ve turned it on before just to switch it up, but usually end up turning it right back off. What I would like is haptic feedback on the keyboard instead. Just a small little pulse per key press.

It’s funny, now that I think about I use a mechanical keyboard that is pretty loud. Luckily I wfh in my own office so it’s not an issue. But then my phone making relatively quiet little tap sounds is seen as this super rude and obnoxious thing. I turned it back on and I think I’m going to keep it for a little while to really test it. The one thing that is weird for me is swipe typing. You hear the first tap and that’s it. Which makes sense but from a feedback perspective just doesn’t sync with what you’re actually doing...if that makes sense.

Nope, don’t like the keyboard click sound. Although I use swipe anyway so it’s not an issue either way these days.
