iPhone Keyboards API and SwipeSelection

With the new Keyboard API in iOS8, is it possible that we could have something like SwipeSelection on a custom keyboard without the need to jailbreak?

I ask because it's one of the few reasons I still jailbreak, and I know it's a very popular tweak.

Will be interesting to find out. But I doubt it. Its this sort of customization that I think will still be lacking from stock...
