Keyboards wireless vs. wired

So I bought the a 24" iMac. I'm a switcher, but was a Mac fan until my LC died in 10th grade (can you guess my age?).

Anyway, I'm having a really hard time adjusting to the wireless keyboard from my Dell laptop. Is the wired keyboard any easier? I ask, since I know that it is wider and includes extra keys. BTW, does the wired keyboard have an "end" key that takes you to the end of whatever sentence you're in. I really miss that.

It all depends on what is more important to you. Inputs devices are strictly a feel and preference thing; if you feel that you need the extra real estate, then go for the wired one. If you think you can do with out the few extra keys and the smaller, sleek, awesome design, then go with the wired keyboard.

I personally use the new wireless keyboard and love it. It complements my 20" iMac perfectly. Good luck!
 
I've had a older white apple keyboard(last gen before newest). Hate it filled with crumbs.
Macally keyboard. Icekey. I used this for a while.
and finally my wireless apple keyboard. Best keyboard I ever had. I can type so fast and easy with this it isn't even funny.
 
I really like the Apple Wired Keyboard. The keys have a nice feel to them. I also like that I can use one of the 2 USB ports to sync my iPod, without having to move the iMac out to plug into the back of it.

the keyboard has both end and home keys, but they don't function the same way the op wants. pressing command-right arrow will take you to the end of the line while command-left arrow takes you to the beginning.

if, though, you only have a single line like in an address bar, up arrow will also take you to the beginning while down arrow takes you to the end.

I'd like to know how you get your ipod to sync with the usb ports on your keyboard since they're not self-powered. All I get is a "low power" notice and won't let me sync. :(

The Apple OS always contain many keyboard shortcuts, which, if you know what you are doing, allows faster operation because you don't have to move your hands from the keyboard.
 
Ok, maybe thats it. I got a white iMac, 20" Intel. Wired keyboard is great for my joystick or usb headset but won't charge or sync my ipod. Major bummer!
 
I would probably have the wireless, but I need the number pad. I do lots of number crunching daily.
 
I am trying out the new aluminum wired keyboard now, and would not want the wireless b/c of the lack of the keypad. I don't yet know if I like the aluminum keyboard as well as the older white one though (it has a very different feel, and is much flatter); I may end up taking it back to Best Buy for a refund.
 
I like the new wired keyboard.

I bought one with a Mini, and it really does feel nice.

I don't use the keypad ever, since they didn't exist when I learned to use a computer, I never got used to them. I can probably type numbers from the row above the QWERTY line faster than most people can with a keypad. :)

I want to look at a bluetooth keyboard for a project, so I'll be checking out the wireless one soon.
