Is there any good basic keyboards with swipe/flow/swype facility on that don't require full access in the UK?

MS keyboard isn't available in UK as that looks a good one for the plus, one handed operation.

I have "FancyKey" but it has just so much stuff on and I just can't seem to get on with it.

I used another in the past, can't remember name, but it just keep crashing, not appearing, I had to uninstall it.

Don't mind paying for a good one.
Thanks

I think either Swype or SwiftKey allows for that without full access as well.

Yeh one does, can't remember which, but had a lot of crashes whereby it wouldn't appear all the time, so frustrating....

Gboard says needs full access for search, although says doesn't use anything else privacy wise...hopefully not for glide, looking now thx

Looks a good keyboard. Doesn't need full access for glide typing either.

What is the use of the search that requires full access anyway though?

Looks like only thing don't get with full access disabled is Google search and GIFs

Not quite sure about search as when I do use it I mostly use it for glide and don't need to give it full acces for that.

Yeah it seems fully functional without full access. Not sure within the keyboard what the Google search is for!

So you also keep full access off? Another keyboard says it needs full access on to get the glide/swipe to work. But obviously you don't as is an in app thing...

Great suggestion thanks, already typing faster again as stopped using Swype as kept crashing/not appearing

A list of almost all major swipe (and other) keyboard you can find in this iOS custom keyboard topic. I'm anxiously waiting for the Gboard app to add more languages (e.g. Dutch) so I can finally switch over from Path Input (iPad mini) / Swype (iPhone).

Swipe keyboards that don't need full access for swiping (only) are:

- Gboard
- currently limited amount of languages supported
- Microsoft Word Flow - currently limited amount of languages supported
- Path Input
- Swype - although you have to (temporary) turn it on to download other languages
- GO Keyboard
- Nintype
- Touchpal
- although it does need full access rights if you download other languages

Thanks for the list. Some aren't available in UK app store, eg MS one which I wouldn't mind trying.

The Gboard one is working quite well actually though, although I wish like touchpal it had shortcuts on the keys for ? etc a strange occurrence on GBoard if I hold down a key the keyboard goes blank? They could use force touch to get symbols etc, ? !
