Hi everyone. I have seen on Keynote the way charts can have like the style of wood or marble on them (see below) but I honestly don't have a clue how to do that. Can anyone explain? Thanks. Oh and also, the new iWork updates arent showing up in Software Update on my PowerBook. Does that mean I shouln't download them?

By creating a 3D chart in Keynote you'll get the default texture (marble, wood), but I haven't found a way to change between textures. I believe I read in the help file that Keynote chooses a texture based on the slide theme you're using. :(

You can change the texture to a color or picture by clicking on one of the bars, then using the inspector / graphic / fill option to change the bar fill.

As far as I can tell, you'd need an image file to use as an "image fill" for the chart. Once you've made the 3D chart, select one of the bars and go to the graphic inspector. There, you can change the fill to "image fill," which causes it to tile the image along the faces of the bar. I hope that helps!

As for the update, you can either (a) wait for it to show up in SU or (b) just download and install it. Sometimes there's a lag in things showing up in SU for people (though I've never experienced one that lasted multiple days).

Thanks people. I have managed to get the chart textures on certain themes but does anyone know at all how to get the wood and marble effect on any of the themes. Surely there must be a way?
