Keynote Help Please

Hello, I made a keynote presentation about a year and a half ago and it worked good. Today I opened up the same Keynote file and It was not working the same. The screen shots that I had taken and inserted onto the slide show now shows as this funny "X" with a question mark in the middle. There are many slides that this has happened too. Does anyone know why this would happened and a possible solution to fixing it ? Thank you very much for your time and help.

Hmmm...I found this:
"
Why are images missing in Keynote?
It sounds like those image files may have been moved, renamed or deleted from their original file location and so Keynote is unable to load the original image."

which doesn't make sense as I have Keynote Presentations where I have used screenshots which have long been deleted, but they still appear in the Presentations.
