Keynote Note Question

Is there a way in Keynote on the the iPad to take notes like you can in Powerpoint on your computer. People use the notes for presentations, but I would like to class notes on them. I would download the ppt files from my teachers instead of printing them and then just take notes on them. Is this possible (does Keynote have a notes sections for each slide).
