Keynote was one of the chief reasons I bought an IPad. I was looking forward to being able to use my IPad instead of my MacBook Pro to give Keynote lectures - its better battery life, lighter weight, etc. made me think this would be a great tool for me.

Problem is, the stripped down version that works on the IPad is practically useless for me. I imported a presentation I created on my MacBook Pro and for all intents and purposes it doesn't work. The font I used didn't transfer over, and I haven't found a way to install it on the IPad. Certain photos I used don't work, without any explanation (and there is no consistency in what doesn't work). Music didn't transfer over. I got error messages saying transitions didn't copy over, but there was no explanation as to which ones aren't going to work, so I am unable to easily make fixes.

Simple dissolve transitions involving multiple images don't appear to work. Nor does this version recognize grouped images. Any third party Keynote templates don't seem to work (only 12 themes are present on the IPad version)

Basically, the Keynote presentation that I created, with all its whistles and bells and stunning graphics, transitions, fonts, sounds, movies, etc. does not work on the IPad version of Keynote, which has turned my presentation into a basic PowerPoint slide show.

Until the IPad version of Keynote can handle what is created on the 'big boy' version, it is a waste of $10 and an insult to those who have been using (and bragging about) IWork versus Microsoft Office for years.
