I know on my Mac Mini that some of Keynotes animations can't run because of the weak GMA950 video card.

If I were to get a MBA (or even standard MB) instead of a MBP, what Keynote features do I lose because I haven't got the juice to run em?

I purchased iWork and Keynote runs really smoothly - as far as I could tell all the effects were there.

Never heard of such issues before, but I can imagine it to be so, as older G4 laptops can not (well, turned off by default) run some effects on UI of Leopard.

Still you have to remember, that MBA has newer, more advanced X3100 graphics.
It's still worlds behind almost ANY dedicated graphics cards, but is a considerable improvement on
weak GMA950 video card.
