Hi there

I have a mac mini connected via mini-display port to VGA cable to a Samsung HDTV as a monitor.

I put the mini to sleep at night to save power, but it often wakes early morning on trigger from EyeTV to record shows for the kids.

If the monitor (TV) is not on when the mac mini wakes from sleep, I have to unplug the mini display port and re-plug it in to get the mini to show things on the screen.

Is there a keystroke (or can one be made) to simulate unplugging and plugging in the mini-displayport?

Thanks for your help

ThreeIsles.

thanks for your responses. Does anyone know a way of running that detect displays code with a keystroke as, when the monitor is off, using the mouse and menus is not possible.

thanks
