So I was looking at picking up a white Khomo back cover from Amazon, but if you take a look at the zoomed in picture of the cover, it shows that the corners of the back cover (when viewed from the front) kind of "spout" outwards:

Anyone noticed this issue on your Khomo back cover?

It isn't actually "spouting outwards." The inner corners cannot have a lip like the straight edges of the case because otherwise, there would be no way to put on/remove the case, as you would not be able to flex the edges enough to get them off the chamfered edges of the iPad.

Ah I understand. Please excuse my poor choices of words though. :p

Didn't know how else to describe those corners that appear to "pucker" outwards.

As omgitscro says, the corners don't have a lip. That bothers me a little bit, but not as much as I thought it would. The case has a nice feel and the edges are stable even without the lip on the corners.
