I used something similar (SwitchEasy CoverBuddy) for weeks and my iPad mini looked perfect once I took it off. Usually those cases aren't going to scratch the device unless they are too big and can cause the device to slide around in there. If it's a tight fit, you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Of course I'm going the skin route (iCarbons) instead of a back case now that I've tried a back case. I just don't like adding thickness of any kind to the device.

Thanks. I think I'm concerned more with putting it in/taking it out of the case than with everyday usage once the ipad is in the case. It seems so tight that it might scratch when I try to remove it...

no...it's fine...stop overthinking and buy something....I have 2 of them - great if if want a case...

Stop over thinking? A case is meant to protect FROM damage, not cause it. So this idea of "buy anything and don't do research or think ahead" is ridiculous. It's a discussion board so why discourage discussion?

My intention on buying a case was because I intend on selling mine when the Retina version comes out and I want to maximize its value. So I got an I-blason otterbox type case that seemed bulletproof on the outside but after a few days I popped out the iPad and saw the case itself chipped off some of the black bezel.

There are good cases out there and there are bad. So theres nothing wrong with "overthinking" a purchase and avoiding a potential problem.

yeah, ok, whatever...there are those here that spend 2 months deciding on a $10 expenditure and ask continual questions instead of searching...it's gets old to read...I 'd hate to see what happens when they have a real choice to make like a house or a car, probably still living in a tent....

My opinion only, you keep posting instead of searching, and wringing your hands, fine with me...

Well, as I wrote, I already bought this case. I didn't think much about it - just went ahead and bought it since it looked good and was cheap. However, now that I have it it is so tight and the plastic so hard that I worry that it'll damage my iPad when I remove it from the case rather than protect it.

Anyway, I wanted to see if anyone else had used this case before i potentially damage my new mini. I think that's a very reasonable precaution and a fair question to ask here.

i got this in red for my iPad 3

went through 2 exchanges on amazon due to defects and said enough is enough, and got a refund

just be advised that the quality on these things is not great. that's prob why they are going for ~$25 on Amazon

Or you ask in a thread in a forum specifically discussing cases and not waste time buying cases that others already tried.

Seriously, buying a house? Living in a tent? For two years youve been a drama queen every time a stranger makes a decision that you don't agree with. Nobody is forcing you to read anything so if you can't handle the fact that people are different from you then why spend so much time on message boards?

LOL...frankly I don't care what they buy...just don't post something that is the same fricking question as the one two posts above it....research, search and buy something...end of story...

I have the Khomo case and have taken it off many times with no scratches. I don't use it much because I prefer just a smart cover and a sleeve though :)

Thanks! Just wanted to know since it's such a tight fit. I've actually started using an incipio NGP case and really like the thinness and lack of bulk, but of course it offers no protection of the screen.

Thanks again.

STOP POSTING RUDE THINGS!!! I mean wow! You tell me, would you rather spend a month trying to find a good case then picking one out in a minute and it ruining ur ipad?!?! THINK A LITTLE! YOU MAY BE RICH ENOUGH TO BUY AS MANY IPADS AS YOU WANT, BUT NOT EVERYONE IS LIKE YOU! So if your here to criticize and be rude then you will be reported and your account will be banned so i suggest u think before u write. :p
