Calm down. It's not like you got drunk and slapped your pregnant girlfriend around the trailer. You are not in trouble.

(You're sitting under the table with the Mac Pro now, aren't you? You're hugging it and swearing "it will never happen again but really it's your own fault because you just get me so mad sometimes and you should know better than to do that when I have had a few drinks", aren't you?)

I'd run Disk Verify (in Disk Utility) just to make sure everything's A.OKAY. It will also say at the bottom what the S.M.A.R.T. status of your drive is. It should say VERIFIED if you select the drive on the top left.

At least it wasn't a bucket...gawd that was a crap joke

Hard drives are designed to take somewhat of a beating and still survive. For example, some Seagate drives can handle a ~300g non-operating shock and ~60g operating shock without damage. Unless you were in a drunken rage, I doubt there's anything to worry about.

lol.... I'm forever giving mine a knock... I've nearly taken the CD tray clean off a couple of times, forgetting it's still out, then bashing it with my knee.

I miss my iMac for simplicity sake!

This thread is a classic example of why PC people think Mac People are freaks. "Oh nooo... I bumped my MacPro with my foot!! I better log-in to Macrumors and tell all the strangers about what I did!"
