Kind Fellow Forumers! Iphone Did Not Upgrade Yet Wont Restore To 3.1.2, Stuck!!!

fellows iphoners!
i used to think i new enuf about my phone but now im kaput! i have/had the 32 gb new bootroom white iphone 3gs jailbroken with blackra1n rc3 running 3.1.2 it came with it, so all i did was wake up this morning with a problem connecting to my local wifi to transfer ebooks to my phone, so i reset the network settings like ive done a milion times expecting to just run black rain wen my phone booted up again and tether boot it up. only blackra1n freezes on me with geohot's face and then goes into reboot and ends up witht the recovery logo again so i run black rain again and again and again and it doesnt boot so i try redsnows tethered boot which worked previously except now its not working either! so i try and restore my software using itunes and i alt/restore to 3.1.2 except i get the message this phone is not eligible for this build! ahhhhhhhhh people, someone please help me! if i upgrade to 3.1.3 thru itunes i know im gona have trouble in the future cuz ive read all the warnings so what can i do plz someone reply to me i need help!!!!!
 
im guessing you didn't save your SHSH with sauriks servers via Cydia. If this is the case you will not be able to restore to 3.1.2.

This is not new information, you should have given this and other threads more attention before posting
 
WOW the Support here is Phenomenal!

seriously its been 12 hrs and no replies???? wow! well my phone wont boot its stuck in a recovery loop it wont boot up to anything but the recovery screen im stuck and i didnt even upgrade to 3.1.3 no one offered any kind of advice so i guess i have to spend another 700 bucks for another one of these pieces of *^&
 
Let's recap...

1. This isn't Apple's Customer Service

2. Even it if was, you are apparently asking about procedures (jailbraking? unlocking?) that are not authorized or supported by Apple so you can't go to Apple Customer Service

3. You are complaining because random people on the Internet aren't flocking to rescue you from bricking your iPhone

Have I missed anything?

LOL, we dont get paid, its not our job to fix peoples phones. This isnt apple support.

OP, use iRecovery to get your phone out of the loop.


BTW, I still haven't got a paycheck from Arn. :confused: Come to think of it, he never asked me to fill out a W-4 or ask for my address.:confused::confused::confused:

If my assumption is right and if you have saved your signature on cydia, do the following.

1. download 3.1.2 official firmware
2. edit your hosts file c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts with the following: 74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com
3. Put your phone in DFU mode. (connect to PC, power off, hold power/home 10 secs, then release power and keep the home till you get DFU)
4. Finally in itunes, shift restore and select 3.1.2 firmware. If cydia has your keys you are ok and restore will go through.
5. Jailbreak using Redsnow 0.9.2.
