-every single silicon tip fits poorly in my ear. i'm constantly adjusting to try to get a decent seal, and they frequently fall out, even when just sitting working at the computer. maybe its my ear shape, but definitely a disappointing experience

-mutiple times a day, the airpods will stop playing audio. they're still connected to the device, but the audio is gone. have to go into bluetooth settings and disconnect and reconnect for it to work again. having to do this several times a day is a marked step down from my older bluetooth headphones, and the opposite of what i'd expect from apple integration. :(

Try a complete reset of your APP, put them in the case and push and hold the button until it starts flashing and then stops. You'll need to re-pair after the reset but it should fix your drop out issues.

As far as fit is concerned... good luck. I got rid of mine and replaced them with Beats Fit Pro with the wing tips, they are comfortable and stay in place securely.

I have large ear holes, most AirPods will fall out, the large tips of the APP2s will stay in similar to how you mention, good most of the time, but occasionally not (the large tips for the APP1s are worse for me, I think the tips for the 2s are slightly larger, the attach point between tip and pod is the same, so if you're on 1s you could try some 2 tips, the mesh screen inside is a bit different, not sure the impact that has)

BUT...
I use foam tips, I get mine from comply, they'll still fit in the charging case without having to be removed. They do degrade over time, I think they recommend every 2 months, but I usually get 3 or 4, but probably also depends on your daily usage. As the foam breaks down, it lets in a bit more outside noise. They're $25 for 3 pairs, and come in black, blue, purple and dark green. Also, their website doesn't seem to like safari, so if you have a different browser, you may have a better experience.

Have you considered third-party tips from Comply (or other company)? They solved the issue for me.

I run into a similar issue if I’m sweating or physically moving around a lot. I ended up getting the Beats Fit Pro for that use, but I do prefer the comfort of the AirPods Pro when I’m relatively stationary… so I have both, and use whichever is appropriate for what I’m doing.
