Kindle app in the uk?

anyone know when the kindle app will come to the uk iv been waiting for ages?

Don't know when it's officially coming to the UK, but I've had it working fine on my phone for a while and I'm in the UK. You need to setup accounts for the US iTunes and US Amazon stores. Download the app from the US iTunes store and install it, then login to the app using your US Amazon account. You can then send yourself Amazon gift vouchers using your UK account but on the US website. Then redeem them to buy Kindle books from the US store and they'll sync down to your iPhone. Works a treat. It's a great app.

Try using a gift card and make it up...

I didn't need to use a gift card for the iTunes US account. Can't remember off the top of my head how I got around this, but I just used a relative's US address for the billing address. But I suppose you could just make one up. You could try a promotion code instead of a gift card. They're easier to come by, have seen loads on these forums, and you won't have to pay a penny then.

you can get a US itunes a/c without giving a CC or giftcard - I did it to get the Kindle on my iphone..

can't remember quite how, but I found the solution after a bit of intense googling
