If you have a Note 10.1 2014, Samsung released the KitKat update and it is a big improvement.:D

For me, my bt mouse and keyboard stay connected and are more responsive.

Also, it includes the Google launcher (I mainly use Nova).

The new wallpaper is nice.

And, definitely, my tablet is faster.

Compared to the KitKat update on my Note 3, this is much more of an improvement.

At this time, I can't comment on the effect on battery life.

What do you do with a mouse and keyboard?

With a mouse you can move a cursor on screen. A mouse has buttons and these can be used to initiate a 'finger press'.... A keyboard is an external version of what appears on screen. You can use it instead of the on screen one to input data into applications such as your internet browser or word processor.

Didn't realise we had got so far ahead in post PC generation we had to describe what a keyboard & mouse are for....

;) :p :D

I guess I am still stuck in the old mindset of computing and couldnt imagine using a mouse and keyboard on a tablet. If I am doing something that I need a mb&k for I want to use a real computer, tablets are casual devices for me.

On this tablet, a mouse and keyboard work extremely well. Not only are they good for word docs, they are really helpful for spreadsheets. Yes, on my desktop and laptop, I do most of my Office work. However, with my Note 10.1 2014 tablet, I can do a lot. It's nice to be able to work on these things along with web browsing without carrying the aforementioned.
