Klipsch USB Audio Transmitter not recognized in El Capitain

I hope someone can help me.

Since upgrading to El Capitain, my Klipsch 2.1 USB dongle is not recognized.

Worked perfectly in Leopard, Snow leopard, Mountain Lion and Yosemite.

I even did a re-install of the OS (El Capitain). I tested the Klipsch USB Transmitter on another USB port on another devise and it worked (blinking green LED light).

On Apple's end I was told that I need to downgrade to Yosemite by taking my iMac to an Apple store.

On Klipsch's end, the USB Transmitter is a simple Plug & Play and requires no software, firmware ect. so theoretically it should work. It doesn't.

The way music sounds to me is important and without my speakers working, it feels like a huge void.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Yeah, I have been having problems with my Bose C5 USB speaker system too ever since the upgrade. 10.11.1 didn't fix any issues either.

After hours on the phone with Apple tech support and Klipsch, AND after buying another USB dongle ($60) thinking the original USB dongle went bad, only to discover later that they BOTH worked after plunging them into another external USB port not attached to my iMac, I finally wound up speaking to a confident Apple tech support representative who completely knew what was wrong. And his confidence to this problem and instruction, lead me to the simplest solution.

(Apple is aware of this problem in El Capitan and I'm sure they will release another upgrade addressing this issue)

Here's the solution: You have to go back to Yosemite using Time Machine. If you have Time Machine and all your info backed up to an external drive, which all of your info should be as Time Machine backs up every hour, you simply do this:

Choose Apple menu > Restart. After your Mac restarts and you hear the startup chime, hold down the Command (⌘) and R keys. When the Apple logo appears, you can release the keys. Select “Restore from a Time Machine Backup,” then click Continue.

In Time Machine Backup, remember to choose the last day's date BEFORE you upgraded to El Captan. It's so easy.

I had my old friend Kipsch 2.1 200 Watt speakers up and running in no time. Until Apple releases a fix for this, I'm sticking with Yosemite. The sound of music is to important to me.

Klipsch understood and refunded my $60.

Yeah in the last two days, my speakers have started working again except it now shows a grayed out a speaker icon on the menu bar and the volume controls on the computer no longer work, you have to use the volume controls on the speaker itself. It used to be that both functioned. At least there is sound though.
