I'm seriously thinking of buying a knomo messenger carrying bag for my new 15" MBP. I have a nice looking BooQ messenger bag right now but it just doesn't have enough protection for the laptop. In fact while I was traveling a couple of months ago my luggage slipped from my hands that I was rolling behind me and the computer was on top of it, it fell and my computer got a big dent underneath the cd drive.
Do Knomo bags have enough protection inside to protect the laptop? Any other nice looking messenger bags out there?

I looked a long time for a nice bag for a 15" and settled on this Knomo. It wasn't cheap, but it is a really nice bag that protects my MBP nicely. Highly recommended.

Which one? They Hayden? It doesn't look like it has a whole lot of padding, does it?

I bought a Knomo bag yesterday. Sorry, it's a ladies handbag style (the Cholet) not a messenger style but I can say that the padding in it is really good. It has a removable padded sleeve which fits neatly into a central padded compartment. Either side there is space for books, papers, mobile phone, pen pockets etc. There's also a power cable bag included inside. Then the leather itself is fairly well padded and there are also metal feet to protect the bottom of the bag. All in all it looks to be an excellent solution and as it looks more like a handbag hopefully people won't recognise that it's a computer bag.
