Kotor for mac help!

Hi all,

Need some help with kotor for mac:
Installed the game, runs fairly good on lowest settings (kotor 2 worked way better) but the game crashes sometimes.
I have a brand new macbook with osx snow.
Previously I saved a lot and when reopening the game i could just go on, but now ive reached a point where the game keeps crashing at a certain loading screen. (when going to taris undercity, at the elevator) This is preventing me from going any further.
Any suggestions?

This game is available on Steam, but I don't know if it will be ported to the Mac Steam. I'm currently playing this via Vista/Bootcamp/Steam. I realize you might not be interested in this solution, but it is a way to play the game trouble free, if you don't mind the trouble of installing Windows on your Mac. As I recall it costs about $10 to purchase in Steam.

And further to that the system requirements are low - I am replaying it on my Lenovo s10 netbook.
