so i want to get knights of the old republic for my mac mini on the mac app store. I meet all the requirements fine, but it says "NOTICE: Integrated chipsets are not supported!" so how do i know if my mac mini is integrated or not? if it is, does that mean i cant install and play it?

thanks

if your mini is the 320m mini then you are ok i am running it on the mbp 13 320m model and it runs.

There was a huge patch for this game last time i went on the App store, I haven't played since downloading it but would be nice to know if it made a difference!

I've played the Windows version through Wineskin... its not graphically demanding. I've never tried the "native" Mac port... but heard its very unstable, so never tried it.

to see what Graphics Card you have, click the Apple Menu and select "About this Mac" and then hit the "More Info" button

System profiler will start and you can select "Graphics/Displays" from the hardware list and see what you have.

If its an Intel GMA950 or Intel GMA X3100 then that is the "integrated" graphics they are saying is not supported. if its a Geforce 9400 or 320m then it should be ok.

For what it's worth...

I just bought the newly patched version from the App Store today. I only just got to the first planet, but it runs like a champ on my 2010 MBP 13" with its 320m. Nothing approaching slowdown or poor performance.

You'll be good, i played it decently on a white macbook with the GMA950 a while back

k thanks all. i have a 9400 nvidia so prolly be getting it soon. the patch i heard fixed the issues with it being slow and stuff

@Ace....nice pic! so pumped for crysis 2! i pre ordered and its being delivered to my house tomorrow!!!

Does anyone know how KOTOR from the Mac App Store runs on the new 2011 MBP 13 with the Intel HD 3000? I have been looking all over for information on this.

not sure, but assuming the graphics card is supported in the 1st place, it would run flawless on a new MBP....since they apparently worked out glitches and lag in a recent update

Wow, it actually looks smooth!

Grr. Why can't they patch the disc version to run this well? I feel like I'm being asked to pay $20 for a patch for a product I already paid for years ago.

What frustrates me is the App Store listing is very confusing. It says in all caps at the bottom that the 2010 "low end' MBP is not supported due to it having an "integrated chipset". I have a "low end" 2010 13" MBP and it has a 320m. I chose not to purchase the game during the Monday sales in March because I didn't look at this close enough. Grrr. I was wondering why it could run fine on my Xbox that was released in 2001, but wouldn't work on my 2010 MacBook Pro. Now I know, whoever wrote the App Store description is just a moron.

Anyone with an HD3000 has tried this game?? I sent an email to Aspyr with no avail.
