KOTOR resolution issues on 10.8

Hi all

I am having an annoying problem with KOTOR on my 13' MacBook Pro running 10.8. Before updating to 10.8 I could have sworn that the game ran in stretched mode offering a widescreen resolution but now I have 10.8 its running in 4:3 with those blasted black bars on the side and no sign of the stretched mode. Is there any way to get the stretched mode back? Its not in the in game options.

any help would be much appreciated.
