I am so impressed with the service I got today. :D Can't believe this. They said they couldn't fix my sound issues mentioned here. For 6 days, they tried a new logic board, speakers, audio board, cables and nothing worked. I didn't push for this or anything. They called Monday and said they were still working on it and I called to check on things today. I was fully expecting them to just give me a refurb and I was shocked when they brought out the new white boxed Air.

Not only that, but it had an iLife '09 drop-in it which I may just install on my iMac.

My fiancee is impressed too. I brought her to the US for the first time last week after she was awarded the all-powerful K1 Visa in China. We had bought a 2.0 MacBook together at a reseller in Shenzhen when my Air's sound died back in Nov. She has liked it, but now after this level of service she really gets it. In China all she had previously were 2 computers with bootleg XP on them (bunch of malware/spyware of course) one of which had a bad mother board and monitor. She then had to fight with an unscrupulous dealer in Shenzhen for a replacement. She kept asking me at the Apple Store, "Are you sure we don't pay any money? Are you sure?!? Really!?!" So another Apple Fan Girl is here. ;)

Why of course?

Is she an inexperienced user? That's the only reason her computer will become corrupted by nasty software.

Well she is expeienced in some ways with computers, but she did download a lot of junk that she thought she needed. Some are bootleg movie players for pirate websites and lots of other junk. The amount of junk that was running on her computers was astounding. Took so freaking long to boot up her machines. The spyware/malware situation is pretty bad in china. There was an article I read on gizmodo just last year.

Wow! Congrats! You must be one happy person!
Now that's quality Apple service right there.
Enjoy it. :)
