The
"/2017/2018/"? But whatever...
Yep 2017 and 2018 there is 18 month gap between them.
The 2017 model released in June 2017, the 2018 model came out in almost December of 2018.
That’s almost 19 months.
There will be no iPad Pro in 2019.

We heard the exact same silly argument last year - that it would be too quick for iPad Pro to receive a refresh in 2018. And the earliest would be 2019.
Yet, we saw a complete overhaul of iPad Pro in 2018 with Liquid Retina and Face ID. The refresh in 2019 will likely be a processor/memory/Face ID update.
Ok first of all, the 2017 iPad Pro came out in June of 17’.. Then 18 months later then 2018 iPad Pro came out in November 29th 2018, almost December really.
The new iPad Pro is on a 7nm manufacturing process, that 7nm silicon isn’t even mainstream in the processor industry. Apple cannot go any smaller, not yet anyways. There’s no where to go! AMD, and Intel, and nvidia are still working on dropping there first 7nm silicon ever. Intel is working on 10nm lol.
If there is a new iPad Pro in 2019 it will be the worst IPC improvement ever, and most likely be a refresh of the current architectural generation the 2018 model is on.
But there won’t be a 2019 iPad lol. Because the next one will land in 2020.

Gen 1: Nov '15 to June '17 - 19 months. (March '16 to June '17 - 15 months)
Gen 2: June '17 to Nov '18 - 17 months.
Gen 3: Nov '18 to April '20 - 17 months or Nov '18 to June '20 - 19 months. Even 15 months would take us to Feb 2020.
An early 2020 release seems more in keeping to me, but who knows.
Exactly right. Thanks for postin that.
People keep thinking of it like this;
I worked there 2 years, I started in 12-2018 and left 02-2019 lol.
