L4D Crossover

I'm trying to run L4D on my new iMac. I had downloaded and crossover and can run steam just fine, most games work normally but when it come to left 4 dead the menus dont appear in the game. i have had a look and this appears to be a common problem a few people have suggested using cider. I have downloaded cider but i dont know how to use.

can anyone help me out with a walkthrough of cider or a solution to menu problem. i dont want to have to pay for parralels or xp for bootcamp i dunno what else to do

I don't know why you don't want to run the game in Bootcamp. The game performs so much better on the platform it was built on.

btw you cant cider a steam game.
