Just a question out of idle curiosity and because I'm new to iLife and to the Mac (proud owner of a 2 week old MBP). Anybody have any clues as to why there seem to be so few 3rd party (or even internal Apple) developers working on templates for iWeb? Given that Apple's software is a key differentiator vs Windows-based systems I was quite surprised to find only two or three 3rd parties seem to be developing new iWeb templates.
I'd kind of expected to see a JamPack-style addon with some more out of the box templates for those of us too lazy to start one from scratch, or a range of templates to get small businesses, school sports teams, clubs or other group's websites off the ground. Is iWeb just not widely adopted or is still an immature product in development terms? It seems ideal for some of the lightweight, quickstart websites I suggested above, but there doesn't seem to be enough template choice out of the box. Gap in the market?
