Surprise Surprise. My MB had to arrive on Mondy when my cousin gets home from SF. But he fooled all of the family and was standing in front of me last night. I couldnt believe it. WTF. He said he wanted to surprise us. Wow thats the best one I`ve ever got.

So here I m. Using my MB for some time now. But since I m in office. I cant give it enough time. Waiting to go home ASAP.

The screen looks fantastic. Didnt try it outdoors though. It`s so slim. My cousin never liked Macs coz he didnt know much bout them. But Now he seems to be interested in Apple at once. He said his next laptop might just be a Mac. Wow that wud be the first person I`ve persuaded to switch, if he does.

Any ways no heat and whine yet. It seems lil hotter than iBook. But nothing serious yet.

I`ll post more if I find some thing interesting to talk about.(There`ll be a lot I guess ). Playing with PhotoBooth right now.

Now take a look at the self acclaimed, FIRST MACBOOK OWNER IN INDIA. Dont know if that makes a diff or not . But who cares when one is using the Latest n Best technology from Apple.

I dont know why, but I just couldnt get more then one photo in the first post. I uploaded both the images, and selected insert all from the menu. But when I preview the site I cant see any of the Pic. But if I insert just one pic then it works fine. Any one knows the reason of this happening?

First or last, doesnt really matter in the end. All I know is that I dont need to touch that Compaq ever again. The thing was literally killing me every damn day. Feels really great to be back on OSX. Now, all I want is a Gig of ram to add in this beauty to make it a real beast. But that wud be hard to find here I think. I`ve found 533 Mhz DDR2 ram. But I dont think it`ll work with this MB. AFAIK MB uses 667 Mhz instead.

I m thinking of importing the 1GB OMNI ram from ramseeker.com. It`ll cost me 98$ including shipping. I`ve read bout this RAM on this forum. No one has had a problem with it AFAIK. But still most also recommend staying away from cheap RAM and getting expensive ones like crucial. I m really confused bout it. The price seems really good, especially coz that will just bout reach my budget limits for now. But still nothing can be worse than risking my 1350$ MB and getting Kernal panics coz of that RAM

My god thats hot...

Yeah I was looking at OmniRam too, they are cheap, almost suspiciously so. I've bought cheap mem in the past and generally it's always been problematic, both PC and especially mac.

It's worth the gamble if you except that's what it is, but if your playing on the safe side - it's probably better to buy more expensive / guaranteed to work mem.

Congrats, I hope to be the first in DK. Though it is not very probable since my MacCenter takes 5 frickin' days to upgrade the HDD.

Well great news for you then.It shouldnt take more than 5 frickin hours to upgrade the HDD and reinstalling OSX all in the comfort of your home as MB HDD is now user-replacable.

Well I m sure you are talkin about cheap RAM but not OMNI in particular. Please correct me if I m wrong. But even if only a couple of users on MR had bad experience with OMNI then I`ll drop the idea at all. Since this MB will be my only computer for atleast a year or two, I`ll not risk it and then stay Mac-Less for 3-4 days. No way. I`ll rather upgrade the RAM little later when I can manage those extra 100$.

See, now, if you'd encourage women to also consider MBPs, there would be at least two or three people in India with them by now!
Well actually I never discouraged anyone. Just posted what I felt was right. I was actually generalising a bit and was quite right bout it. But then,an average of some items doesnt mean that it(average value) is the exact final value of all the items involved. But it`ll definitely guide you in the right direction give you an approximate idea. Or thats what I think.
