iPod Lag-free 802.11n audio bridge?

I want a wireless bridge for the Mac system audio.

I already have an Airport Express. While you can send the system audio with AirFoil, it is unusable for video given the huge lag.

Bridging using another Mac via AULab gives acceptable results, but I want something cheaper than a Mac mini (and also small).

I DON'T WANT a media player, just a system audio out.

It's useless for web video, for example. You're constrained to their video player.
