Laggy Bluetooth Magic Mouse

Hi guys is any one else getting issues with a laggy bluetooth mouse or and trackpad.?
I had a trackpad but because of the lag bought a magic mouse, but the same laggy movement occurs.
I have a late 2012 quad core i7 Mac mini.
I have my wireless off as I use lan.

any ideas?

What type of batteries are you using? The reason I ask is because I have a Magic Mouse and have used it on a late 2009 imac, an early 2009 iMac, iBooks, PowerBooks, and even a PowerMac with no issues and never any lag.
 
HI RedCroissant I use amazon basic recharchables if that gives any food for thought.
 
It does actually depending on the quality of the battery. I've found that using sub-par rechargeable or even super cheap batteries results in poor operation. This is due to either not enough amperage or even corrosion within the battery compartment that in turn decreases efficiency because of the poor connection to the battery terminals.

I recommend the Apple rechargeable batteries (or rebranded Eneloops) because they're awesome and ever since having batteries drained too quickly with other rechargeable brands, the Apple ones work very well and hold a charge for a very long time.
 
Which trackpad were you using? My Magic Trackpad works fine until the OS X battery warnings remind me to swap to fresh rechargeables.
 
do you have any other devices near by that could cause interference? e.g. wireless phone system operating on 2.4ghz? Also i wonder if other wifi networks could cause this. the 2.4ghz band is quite crowded these days. Anyways, just a thought...
 
This is a common issue with the 2012 Mini's. The issue stems from insufficient shielding around the bluetooth module. There are a number of "fixes" that you could try but the best and really the only true fix is to buy a shielding kit from a place like OWC. I don't know how comfortable you are with dissembling your mac but its fairly straight forward if you just follow the instructions that they provide. I think they even have install videos if that would be better.
