I have a very unusual problem and could use some help. My wife's iPhone 6 starting w/ very laggy typing this past week. Sometimes typing would respond immediately and others, there would be a significant delay. The interesting thing is her iPad started doing the same- she has an Air 1. I had reset the iPad several times w/ no improvement. I went to the Apple Store today and they restored using the computer. Get home and same. Now, to make it worse, picked up a brand new iPad Pro and setup for her today and now that is demonstrating the same lag. Something is seriously wrong. Lightning doesn't strike 3 times. Could there be an issue w/ her iCloud account or iTunes ? Also, I'm on the same home network as her and don't have any issues. I'm at a loss. All devices are running 10.3.1. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Check if there are any recently installed apps or changed settings that are common between the 3 devices. I highly doubt iCloud has anything to do with it.

Actually, this very well may have to do with iCloud. This was happening about a year ago to quite a few members and it was found that it was linked to iCloud syncing and predictive text along with Siri's contextual recommendations. I cannot recall exactly what they turned off to help, but have you noticed where the lag occurs, as in which apps and where in the app you were entering text? In the meantime, I would try turning off Siri Suggestions under General--> Spotlight Search and see if that helps.

Simply sign out of iCloud and see if it improves, same with iTunes if you need to, see what makes a difference.

Thanks all for the input. This morning, out of trepidation, I changed my wireless network name & password, my wife's iCloud password and iTunes password. I then restored the iPad Pro to factory settings and still no better. Wasted a hour or so doing this. So, back to the Genius Bar I went. While waiting for my appointment, I get a text from my wife indicating her newer iPhone 6s is now doing the same. I mentioned this to the girl who helped me yesterday and she suggested I try logging out of iCloud and see if there's any improvement. I did so, and yes - 100%. There were a few Apple gurus involved with my issue including a senior tech. The fix that worked was creating a new iCloud ID. Never got an explanation as to what could've been the culprit. Regardless, my wife is happy again. Gotta say, my local Apple Store staff are very friendly and helpful.
