After updating to Tahoe, I noticed that videocalls with Google Meet have become very laggy.

In particular, the webcam (Logitech Brio) stutters.

If I try from Safari, I don’t experience any issues. It only happens with an external webcam — with the MacBook’s built-in webcam it works fine. I tried reinstalling Chrome via the app but without success.

Do you have any suggestions?

Same for me. Didn't found any solution yet than setting the video quality to low in google meet.
Doesn't seems to be a logitech only issue. I have a emeet cam

This. Today a Google Chrome update was also released, but nothing has changed. The problem remains with the external webcam. With the Mac’s built-in webcam, everything runs smoothly.

I noticed is Chrome browser like " a bit lag still " , after i install the update few days back and even restart my iMac. It seem ok but after one day , feel browsing scroll on chrome the lag like slowly back. Not sure is it the new Mac OS contribute , if use Safari seem smooth. Maybe Apple purposely force we use safari more? I actually like safari just that i need some extension to work from Chrome come some work.

I have noticed this even with the Zoom app. I suspect it is an issue with way it handles external webcams.

I feel is due to Chrome browser despite updated still like not compatible with the new Mac OSX. I noticed I need to close the chrome browser when feel that " lagging come scrolling FB etc surfing website " When restart the chrome browser it like back to normal. Maybe the new Mac OSX is hogging resources backend. Do note I always just open 8 tabs , in the last Mac OSX before updated to new one , all along it work smoothly no need to restart the chrome browser.

UPDATE (24/09): The recent update of Chrome 140.0.7339.208 (Official Build) (arm64), released yesterday, seems to have completely fixed the issue. Give it a try and let me know.

Just happen I go click Chrome settings any update, there is another new update. Let's see how it go...
The last few days back update, I still noticed the chrome kinda lag after surfing , watch video, stream later few hours later , noticed that " shutter, lag kinda come back " have to close and reopen the chrome browser than ok but Obviously the mac new OSX also contribute it thus have to wait for Mac OSX update. i heard IOS beta now is out to fix the New IOS battery drain problem, liquid glass bugs etc.
