Hey there all you gamey types. I was looking for this game to run in OSX. I saw a copy was once available at the portingteam website, but the link is now dead.

Does anyone know where I can get a copy?

Cheers!

Having the original game itself, it shouldn't be a problem creating a wrapper and run it using all this great freeware s/w available (wine & wineskin).

If all else fails, even if you have to use virtual machine s/w, VirtualBox is free and available for Mac.

Thank you, but it doesn't appear to be Mac friendly. I don't run parallels, so I need some sort of wrapper or port.

The GoG release is just the Dos release running in the Windows version of Dos Box. If you install it on your Mac via Wine and then copy the game folder to the Mac version of Dos Box or tell Boxer to import it you'll be able to play them perfectly on your Mac.

Not sure about LoL 2, but Guardians of Destiny is an old dos game. All you need for that is the OSX port of Dropbox.

I have no experience with this (so don't hold it against me if I'm wrong), but you could probably get it off GOG, and drop the Mac binary in over the Windows doxbox executable to get it up and running. I think both use the same configuration files across all platforms, so it should be a pretty straightforward affair.

edit: Or do what guy said above me. I really should read to the end of these threads before making a reply.

Hmm... this sounds a little esoteric. I'm not all that savvy at getting things to go like this. However, I'm not totally a luddite yet. I'll see if I can get my hands dirty with this and get it running. Thank you all for your kind counsel!

Yeah, it's a bit round the houses unfortunately but once you have the game installed you're pretty much sorted forever. If you have any issues get back to me and I'll try and help you out.

It's one of those things that's kinda difficult the first time you do it, but gets easier from then on out.

I remember the first time I fired up DOSBox. All that reading, and configuration files, and settings, and...holy crap, how the hell am I expected to play with this thing? Took me about an hour to get this one simple old game to work. Now I can set up a dos game profile in about 45 seconds.
