I have acquired a mac pismo 400 powerbook for my daughter on spec as it has troubles. It won,t hold the date -have to reconfigure every time. It freezes or shuts off if you go into applications. The previous owner had loaded it with mac 10.4 OSX and that is when the problems started. When he loaded it with 10.4 it would not accept I Movie or I photo . Could the problem with the date and applications melt down be due to the pram battery giving out or should I reconfigure the computer for mac OS 9? If it isn,t the pram battery but lack of memory what should I need to run OSX 10.4. He tried at one point to load OSX 10.2 and it wouldn,t accept it,so was surprised when it ran the more sophisticated program.
