Looking to spend anywhere from $1500 to $2500 on either black Macbook or Macbook Pro. I'm really having a hard time deciding on a configuration, but I definately want 1 gb ram and ability to run multiple programs flawlessly, possibly including final cut. I keep going back and forth on this one and it will get plenty of use either way. Like I said, I'll be doing some video editing. No specific timeline but no sooner than a month or two and no later than next spring. Thanks for the help.

If you will be using Final Cut, I would say go MBP. You will need the extra power to run ok. But if you will only use it time to time, and will mainly be doing web surfing, emailing, etc I would go MB. There will likely be updates by the time you want to buy, too.
For your needs, you'd be best served with a MacBook Pro with maxed out RAM. Final Cut is a demanding app...it will run on the MacBook, but the Pro will be able to handle it much better.
